Live to Eat ; Eat to Live Part 2 (#throwbackpost)

Realized that this post had been on my dashboard as a DRAFT post for more than a year!!
*COBWEBS*!!

Another out-dated post on the many foodie hunts that I've been on for the past few months more than a year :)
Thankful for all the good food that I am able to savor upon each time my tum tum calls for it!

Went to Au Chocolat @ MBS on a bright sunny lazy weekday afternoon after my "killer" paper : P (I've already graduated)!
Wasn't in the mood for sweet stuff..so ordered their savories instead.
Opted for the rich french onion soup and truffle fries along with my fave peppermint tea.
I am always a BIG fan for clear soup..anytime..!
Hahaha....It had already ceased operations in MBS :P

Cheezy enough..juz right for me!

PIES and COFFEE @ Turf City

The Fabulous Baker Boy!

Love the laid back feel of the cafe...of cos on a weekday afternoon tat is..

Always wanted to try this British-style F&C....so finally...

Verdict:   I don't really fancy it....I still prefer my local Fish and Chips!! Yeah...go on...roll your eyes at me...hah!

FAST Food for Thought!  Still prefer its main outlet at Botanic Gardens. More options and better atmosphere over there.

Tim Ho Wan@Toa Payoh...No more long queues...and so near from home :)

Love GRUBS at Bishan Park!
Good fix anytime! They have opened 2 more outlets FIX at Balestier  and GRUB Noodle Bar at somewhere near Lavender area...gonna try them out soon!

Live to Eat ; Eat to Live - Part 1

Sorry for the longest hiatus ever..been feeling rather lazy and restless...
This entry is gonna be flooded with massive, overdue foodie pics...so please bear with me... :)

First stop @ Parco Caffe (Taken in April 2013). It is under the same group running Spruce if I am not
mistaken.

Parco means Park..situated off Spottieswoode Park, this cafe, rather an Italian restaurant offers an indoor
alfresco area and a glass-roofed courtyard. Its furnish is of the green foliage of a park and it makes one think
of a green house. It can be quite inaccessible if you are traveling without a car.

This is the center glass-roofed courtyard

Lovely warm lighting

Service was superb...when the staff knew we were sharing, all portion were served halved :)

Juicy pan-seared foie gras is a must-order

Dessert

Great for a romantic dinner date :)

KOME Japanese Dining
I've always fancy the idea of dining in any restaurants located in a club. It often means lesser crowd, exclusive services and good food. And yes, KOME is no exception :)
It is situated in Keppel Club and it was a last minute decision to dine there as we simply could not find
any less crowded place in Vivo city on a Saturday evening.
Though KOME was an impromptu decision but it definitely was a pleasant suprise :)

Had a steamboat set for 2...totally worth the price..

Everything served was included in the set dinner. Totally worth the $60+  we paid for :)

Tired of western food? Head down to Le Chasseur then....no..do not be mistaken by the ang-mo-pai name
haha....it serves authentic chinese cuisine and wicked claypot rice.
Brought my parents to a simple dinner sometime ago to try their signature Pork Knuckle. And boy, this dish
sure did not disappoint us :)
Omelete was crispy at the sides

Star of the night
The last that I've heard is that this restaurant had shifted to Eunos..near the MRT station :)

Yet another over-due dinner during this year's mother's day celebration.
Were at 21 on Rajah at Days Hotel. This place offers Mediterranean and local delights.
Service was ok but food was good enough for me to go back again :)
