Kick-start 2012 with a short but much anticipated getaway to BKK!!
Checked in at Budacco Boutique Hotel. Found this hotel online..was attracted by its sweet pinky room decor...but other than that its really clean and bright..the location is a NO-NO!!

I checked the reviews and all was nice..especially the location..near to BTS..blah blah....
But NO!!!! Its not near to BTS at all!!! And the Pratunum market right below my hotel is freaking crowded and noisy and smelly at times...

Unless you are looking for a shoe-string budget hotel..if not..please stick to your usual Pathuwan Princess or Novotel...I swear my next trip to BKK I'm not gonna save on accommodation!

Tze brought us to The Pantry Farmers' Market @ Loewen Gardens last Saturday!
As Christmas is around the corner, this Yule market was packed with lots of X'mas shoppers as well :)

Car lots are scarce so you might wanna reach there early or u can try the valet parking..FOC!

Many home bakers set up their stalls there :) But quite pricey though i must say..
$3.50 for a chocolate chip cookie and $8 for a Double peanut butter cookie!

Spent a great Saturday morning at Loewen Gardens before heading to PS to buy our Christmas Tree! Excited!!

Quality Hotel for coffee and snack. Why Quality? Well, its the nearest chill out place from our home..I told u..we sneaked out as our babies are sleeping at home..haa!!! Tze likes the place as its very quiet...

Went for our 2nd staycation this year! This time to Quincy Hotel at Mount Elizabeth :)
It is located at the prime Orchard District..juz behind Far East Plaza..
Tze was searching for places to have a nice quiet dinner to celebrate our wedding annivesary when he came across a blog that featured Quincy.

As the year is coming to an end..the months of Nov and Dec mark the start of many
wedding bells ringing, holidays and festive celebrations. It is the time for R&R for many
who has been working hard :)

Since I am enjoying my M leave and outta "confinement"...had been hanging out with friends and busy attending weddings!

Went to Queen's @ Sentosa Boardwalk with Squirrel and Shufang. Heard about the nice decor
and ambiance about it, so went to check it out. Was a bit disappointing though...with the place
as well as the food. It was not as grand as I thought it would be...and the cakes..well...
not as delectable as I thought they would be either...but still it was fun hanging out with my 2 pals...gossiping the nite away.

Yes!! Baby Jake, the latest addition to the family is 5 weeks old :)
Brown hair, big round eyes...abit different from Troy..
Hopefully his temper will be different from Troy as well **keeping my fingers crossed**

Finally I've done my part..haha...and I've decided that I shall be contented with 2 boys..
no..not gonna listen to any old aunties nor uncles harping on "trying" for a gal...
nah..its alrite..me and Tze (I suppose) are not into the gender issue.

Though having kids make the family or rather marriage complete..but having said that...
its simply tiring and irritating at times.

Just came across an article that says," Children does not equates to Happiness"..simply it means
"Children brings Joy to your life" is a myth..hahaha..
Well, though i can't agree with both hands..but yes..one of my hands is raised in total
agreement :P

I love my boys and is always seeking ways to give them the best but right now..frankly speaking..they have not really make me happy yet..but they do make me laugh...haha..I hope
you guys get what I mean..but I know this is just a passing phase...as they get older..things get
easier..I'm sure I will have the energy to enjoy motherhood..but now..really..physically and mentally I'm totally drained......

Staycation @ Siloso Beach Resort

Since I cannot be running round the world in a jet plane...Staycation is the alternative solution this June holidays....

Went to Siloso Beach Resort for a 2 days 1 nite stay in their Roof Garden Suite (click here)
This resort has the best location as it is situated along Siloso Beach, right behind Cafe Del' Mar.
Just in front of the resort is the tram that will bring you to various places on the island :)

The main theme of the resort is Eco-friendly...it promises lush greenery and the longest nature landscape pool...Only if you do not mind the fallen leaves everywhere, bugs crawling around and the mischievous squirrels darting here and there during breakfast...

Day 4 in Taipei..its actually our last day(as tourists)..haha cos we did not do much on day 5
but roamed around XMD abit before our Mercedes Ride to the airport.. :)

Just a note ya..do not take a cab to the airport..it will cost u around
1300-1400 TW dollars..instead, book a Merc from your hotel to bring you to
the airport.it cost only TW 1000 flat rate..
Its much newer and comfortable than the old smelly cab lor...

We've been eating, buying like the locals there...so on the 4th day,
we decided to do something "touristy"..haha!

We went to the iconic buildings (minus 101) in taipei city for some
cliche photos!!

Before we left for lunch..
Took some paparazzi shots..hehe

Back to XMD for lunch..

but its hidden along a dark alley...some ulu ulu place...

Day 3 in Taipei...and I'm not missing home...
hmm..Troy yes...but with all the good food..nice pretty people...
the weather...cool but no rain....haiz...
everything just seems so wonderful

Started our day with simple breakfast...
mince meat noodles..meatball soup and Taiwanese carrot cake..!

Our accommodation actually includes breakfast...
But we chose to savor over local food over there :)
So we actually wasted like $40 worth of breakfast...
But its all worth it!

but i did not know what special occasion was that on the day we went...
so we were lucky enough to be able to go onto the 91st floor...

known as "东区"

Pass by some major shopping malls in Taipei city...
stop to shop for my chanel and gucci...:)

But actually Chanel bags are more exp over there..
so not worth buying from there!!

The rest of the day were spent loitering around the city area..
went back to our humble abode for a break..
hmm..toilet break...
i didn't visit any public toilet throughout my
stay there....hah!!

In the evening..we took the mrt again to another nite market..
This time to Shih Da Nite market...

Some of you might not have been there as its not as famous as Shih Lin...
but its damn crowded and famous for the locals cos its just
beside a university and...the food there is so tasty that
the crowd there is like 2x more than Shih Lin...
with queues forming along almost every stall in the market...

What's more...the market houses alot of famous taiwanese
bloshop and they are selling their items at online prices in their
brick and mortar shops...
reminds me of far east or haji lane over there...

Sorry no pixs..cos busy squeezing thru the crowd...
In the end we "da bao" our dinner back to our hotel instead..

After 4hrs 15 mins, we reached Taipei..
We headed straight to the Shibuya of Taiwan - XiMenDing
as our hotel is located there :)

Too early for our hotel check-in..went to Ah Zhong Mian Xian
for a slurp..
Situated along a crowded lane in XMD..

Tips: Do add loads of mashed garlic and a tinge of Chilli oil
for the superb taste..

Finally our room is ready..

It may not be a fanciful hotel..but definitely at the best location
(So near to the MRT) 3 mins walk perhaps??
In the midst of XMD..
Most important..the interior is new and very very clean..

All snacks are free..replenish daily...

Love the cleanliness of it...

A slimy block of hardened Pig's blood
covered with peanuts and coriander leaves..gross..!!!

Well, for TW sausage..they will slit open it...

This is a much anticipated trip...it's gonna be my 3rd and Tze's virgin trip there..Gonna "HAO LIAN" and show him around like an "Old Bird"..haa..

Juz hope that it won't rain and weather will be juz cooling enuff
to wear my jackets and scarfs..

B.I.N.T.A.N a short short trip...

Finally finally....I've finally updated my moths, cobwebs and flies infested blog..haha! Its been more than 5 months since my last entry :p

Ok..to stop being lazy and start my not-so-fat ass moving... I'm gonna blog about my Bintan weekend trip with Tze.. yes..juz the 2 of us without baby Troy :)

It was quite a last min decision...
to go on a short short trip... Everything there was nice and relaxing except for the PRICE!!! Everything is just soooo expensive!

Have you read today's newspaper (ST) about how a local blogger
went to OCBC to ask for a cake on her birthday?? HAHA...

If you've been watching the telly lately, you will be very familiar with the
recent OCBC commercial showing a little gal who went to OCBC with her
parents and when she told the staff there that it was
her mummy's birthday the staff went all out to give her mummy a surprise by presenting her with a cake..

Well, apparently...KT the blogger really went to the bank on her
birthday and ask..or I should say demand for a cake...

Well, I shall not judge her and say whether she is right or wrong
....all I can say is that...All kinds of people exist in this world
and my heart goes out to the staff involved

Her actions had created a lot of commotion and I find the comments on
her webby far more interesting than her post itself...

to surprise its customers with a birthday cake..
and she wants to take this ad literally..
many of her blog readers retaliate by leaving these comments:

12th Oct 2009...Monday night....
The day my life changed....(So is Tze's)

After months of anticipation and 17 torturing hrs...
My lovely baby boy..little Troy arrived...

All along, I've been experiencing quite a smooth pregnancy...so..i was not prepared for a not so smooth labour...Looking back...the 17hrs of pain and fatigue...
well i must say....Baby Troy...you better be nice to
mummy in the future :)

9th Oct Fri : 7:00pm

Dr Han: Your fluid in the waterbag is decreasing...
and your weight decrease too..
Let's check your bb's heartbeat..
(was lying beside the CTG machine for half an hr)

Dr Han: Ok..bb seems fine..but u having mild contraction..
so how?? wanna give birth anot??

Me and Tze: Uh...okie lor...

Dr Han: Ok..come back on Sunday...
no early Monday morning..2 am..induce..

Me: Ok..(still happily thinking that 2am..so early..
by 8am morning i sure can give birth)

12th Oct Monday:

2am: Nurse insert the inducing tablet into my body...
waited alone for 3 hrs..

4am: Start to experience contraction pain..
but still bearable...

5am: Transfer to my room for further monitoring on
CTG till Dr Han arrive

6am: CTG machine suddenly cannot detect my
bb's heartbeat...Everybody panic..sent to the
labour ward immediately!!

6:30am: Senior nurse came...monitor heartbeat
again...ok..false alarm..bb still okie..

6:30 till 9am: waiting and waiting...in pain
already...contraction every 5 min

9:15am: Finally Dr Han arrived....checked on me..
saying that the induced tablet has no effect
on me..must insert a 2nd tablet...if not..
be prepared for cesaeran...Oh no!!!!
I don't want that!!!!

9:30 till 3pm: waited for another 6hrs to go by...
in great pain...cannot inject epidural yet
....I nearly died lor!!!

3pm: Dr Han came back to check..okie...think I can
deliver by evening! Inject Epidural..finally..
Now I'm having contraction every 1 min!

4pm: Now that I'm no longer in pain..(cos of the wonderful
epi)..I can watch telly and drink hot milo...

4:15pm: "Beep Beep Beep" suddenly my CTG machine
is making that funny sound again...a nurse came
in..and went out again to be back
with 4 other nurses and 2 doc...
everyone seems very concerned..and they put
on the oxygen mask for me and brought
in some weird machine..checking my BP
..etc etc...i was panic too..was i gg to die..
wat happen to my bb????

4:30pm: Turns out that after the epi..bb heartbeat
dropped..but after while..it all went
back to normal....

4:40 till 8:30pm: Juz waiting..but think my contraction
too serious that towards the end..
even with the epi..i can still feel
a slight pain...

8:45pm: Finally..Dr Han was back..for good....
okie..now we all can start...
Push Push!!!

8:47pm: Baby Troy Arrived!!!! Praise the LORD!!!
